COMPETION FORMAT
There are 36 events both open and masters plus a number of open and masters relays. The order is the same as in previous years and detailed on the entry form. The warm up will be from 9.30am to 9.55am with the gala starting at 10.00am finishing by 5.00pm. Some of the major awards will be presented at the dinner and disco held at the hotel after the gala.
The Contribution to Swimming Award
The Team captain or a representative from each region plus one committee member will be asked to attend a short meeting at the end of the gala to each nominate someone who they think deserves this award, it does not necessarily have to be someone from their own region. All the nominations will then be discussed and the group will then vote for whoever they think is the best candidate for the Contribution to Swimming Award. It will be awarded at the dinner after the gala.
The relay trophies will be presented to the first single region team in the events but medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd regardless of whether they are mixed or single teams. Points for mixed teams will be awarded proportionally to regions represented in the mixed relay.
