"Our bowling
mornings every 2 months will continue on Wednesday mornings-.9
Sept. 11 Nov. 13 Jan.2010, 10 Mar & 12 May meeting at
10.30am.at the Kursaal. Lunch afterwards at the White Horse,
Maritime Rooms, Halfway House or Thorpe Bay Yaght Club around
12.30pm. decided on the day.
Only one walk on the agenda. Tues 6
October a leisurely seafront walk to the Peter Boat, leaving our
cars at Jan Hales car park, Overcliff , Manor Road,
Westcliff-on-Sea at 11 am. Lunch at 12.30. Tel. 352443 if
necessary. If anyone needs a lift please let John or I know
so that it can be arranged. You are welcome to meet us for a
12.30 lunch only at the pubs, if you prefer not to do the walk.
The Christmas Lunch will be on 10 December
at the Thorpe Bay Yacht Club at 12.00 for 12.30.Menu’s will
be sent out later. Sports Club members are given a subsidy of £5
towards their meal. All wine is paid for by Southend Cersa.
Last year was the most members attending, hope it can be the same
this year.
Essex RCSL Social
Section have organised a great programme of outings for everyone
again . Christmas shopping in Cambridge and London and two London
shows, War Horse, recommended by Nick and I, and Legally Blonde,
a new one to me. Also Chicago, Joseph and Cinderella at the
Cliffs Pavilion. Please contact Debbie Gordon, 4th
Floor, Alex House. Ext. 361700 and she will take your booking and
put you on her mailing list. Hope something here will interest you,
just ring me if you need any more info. Enjoy the summer and any
holidays you may have in the future. Hard life this retirement!"
